The Pointe Coupee Council on Aging held its Fall/Halloween Bingo Party at the Scott Civic Center on Oct. 29. It had been almost two years since Council on Aging participants had been able to come together.

In the costume contest, there were three Walmart gift card winners: Elouise Franklin, $25 first prize; Vivian Turfitt, $15 second prize; and Wanda Decuir, $10 third prize.

There was an opportunity to win door prizes, fresh fruit and an array of flowers donated by Humana.

Pointe Coupee Home Health/Hospice offered blood pressure checks.

The meal served consisted of fried catfish, rice dressing, potato salad, green beans, roll and for dessert, a bread pudding with a white chocolate cream sauce.

The Council on Aging is working on its Christmas Party for Dec. 10.

This event was made possible by sponsorship from Peoples Health Humana and Pointe Coupee Parish Government from the recreation funds received.
