Four teams from District 5-1A are playoff-bound, but Catholic High of Pointe Coupee missed a spot in the 16-team Division IV bracket.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association released the brackets on Monday, Feb. 24, and Catholic-PC, 15-14, was No. 18.

Opelousas Catholic, 22-7, got the No. 3 seed and will face 5-1A foe St. Edmund, 12-11, seeded No. 14. Westminster, 18-15, was No. 16 and faces No. 1 Crescent City, 19-11.

Meanwhile, North Central, 23-7, got the top spot in the Class 1A bracket and a first-round bye.

Livonia, 9-20 and 2-6 in 6-A, wrapped up the regular season on Friday, Feb. 21, dropping a 47-36 game to Breaux Bridge.

The Wildcats dropped a 59-55 game at Cecilia on Feb. 18 and were No. 39 in the power rankings. The Class 4A bracket took 32 teams.

Four teams from District 6-4A advanced to the playoffs: Breaux Bridge, 24-8, got the No. 2 seed and faces No. 31 Northwood-Shreveport, 14-13, and Opelousas, 20-9, is No. 12 and plays No. 21 South Terrebonne, 18-10.

Beau Chene, 14-17, got the No. 25 seed and faces No. 8 Rayne, 22-11, and Cecilia, 14-18, was the No. 29 seed and will face No. 4 Assumption, 27-7.
